Co-Creation

& why organisations need it

Galia combines positive psychology, her PhD research and design thinking to co-create impactful projects and curate developmental collaborations for organisations.

The need to innovate to stay relevant is the new normal for individuals and for organisations. It is in essence what the future of work means – constantly changing, reviewing and adapting.

Continuing to grow and change as an organisation can result in creating products/services/R&D/organisational structures that are wholly embraced and drive impact from day one. One result is a culture that is more engaged, productive and positive.

When done well, it can bring a sense of vitality to those involved. Alternatively, ongoing change, re-organisation, and re-configuration of structures can lead to a culture of fear, uncertainty and withdrawal. It all depends on ‘how’ you drive for the innovation and change.

Co-creation is an approach that identifies and brings together the diverse range of possible users of the product/service/R&D thing you aim to design, create and launch, to innovatively collaborate from the outset in creating that thing. You might have a hypothesis of what the thing should ‘look like’. But co-creation isn’t a consultation, it is about truly listening in order to understand the needs and requirements of those you design for, from the very beginning. It is about co-shaping the end output together.

Co-creation requires a unique set of skills, and an approach that creates enough safety and trust so that contributors can bring their whole self and the real inventive gold can emerge. Galia combines positive psychology, her PhD research, and design thinking, together with her extensive experience in co-creating impactful projects and programmes, to curate developmental collaborations that drive real impact.
