Her treatment, a blend of chemotherapy and human-centered care, inspired her PhD research on the transformative impact of such therapies on chronic and autoimmune conditions. This unique insight fuels her work, integrating Positive Psychology and Positive Organizational Scholarship to drive meaningful change.
As an entrepreneur, Galia founded Oro Group, a trailblazing company that delivers large-scale mentoring programs to corporations globally. These initiatives specifically support women in male-dominated fields, underscoring Galia’s dedication to diversity and inclusion. The program not only develops mentors and mentees but also catalyzes cultural transformation within organizations.
Immigrating to New Zealand from Israel in the 1990s, Galia has made substantial contributions to the professional community. Her career includes roles at the Boston Consulting Group and as the inaugural Head of Ethics for New Zealand’s largest company, Fonterra. She has also founded a social change organization and held significant board positions, including Deputy Chair of New Zealand’s National Advisory Council on the Employment of Women. Her relentless advocacy for women’s advancement earned her recognition as an Edmund Hillary Fellow.
